J GO participates in Park City’s annual Park City Paint Out on Sunday, June 1st. Paul Vincent Bernard demonstrates his aluminum drypoint technique. To create his abstracted landscapes, Bernard begins with an enamel-coated aluminum panel and etches into it with a tooler, finishing the piece by rubbing it with oil paint. His shapes build up over hours of patient etching. For this piece he will be doing a more literal rendering of a historic Main Street building. See how the work evolves over the course of the day, beginning at noon in Miner’s Park.
